It was chaotic! You could hear the loud cries and moaning before you even reached the house. The shrieks of the grief-stricken family burst through the air like the flash of lightening and the peal of thunder. Then He came! Stepping into the courtyard with compassion and confidence, Jesus looked at the friends and family and asked, “Why make this commotion and weep? The child is not dead but sleeping?” You know the story. He then raises Jairus’ little girl from the dead. The Bible says “And they were overcome with great amazement.” [For the full account read Mark 5:21-43]
Like the people in Jairus’ story we have watched as this generation of young people has gone from sickness to what looks like sure death. All around us we hear voices lamenting the condition of children, teens and young adults in this generation which has been labeled the “post- Christian era.” The hopeless cries of despairing parents, grandparents, and leaders’ sounds today much like a funeral service. But the words of Jesus to Jairus are true for us today, “Be not afraid, only believe.” Regardless of what it looks like, this generation is not dead but only asleep.
God is awakening a generation of young men and women who will arise and walk in the light of Jesus Christ! God is not finished with this generation or this world. The greater glory of God’s power is going to be revealed in this day! Don’t give in to current circumstances. Don’t join the voices of doubt and despair. ONLY BELIEVE! He will do what He has promised! Believe it for yourself, your children, or your grandchildren. Believe God for this generation! God has given us the voice and the anointing to awaken a sleeping generation to the power and truth of Jesus.

The Lift Winter AwakeningThe Lift Awakening is a conference designed to shake young adults out of complacency and into a life of blazing passion. Though uniquely crafted to connect with the millennial generation, The Lift Awakening is not on a mission of cultural relevance. The mission of this movement, as stated in its name, is awakening. We are contending for an army of revivalist to invade the culture at large.Under the direction of Pastors Keith and Margie Nix The Lift Awakening was launched in 2015 after much prayer and preparation, having its first gathering February 13 and 14. While full of faith and high hopes the initial gathering far surpassed all expectations. With only a months time of advertisement the house was filled with young adults contending for a great awakening in their generation. In the first session the question was posed, “Would you dare to confront the compromise in your life?” On Friday night, when presented with this challenge, nearly 100% of the audience took a stand, laying compromise on the alter. This was just the beginning. The following day, when given the invitation to use their personal testimony as a weapon in rescuing this generation, the voices of young adults from all over the southeastern United States rattled the atmosphere in intercession. While many would say such events draw solely on the emotions of humanity, I believe conference attendees would say otherwise, especially after Saturday’s second session. In this session the audience was challenged to fight the grip of emotion by reigniting the passion of their first love. With another outstanding response many chose to confront the secular image they’d been pursing with a fresh surrender to the love of God.To finish an incredible weekend Pastor Keith Nix spoke on the key to awakening a generation. What is the secret? Love. We’re called to be an army of love in a world abounding with animosity. We’ve been embraced by The Father and we in turn ought to embrace the word with God’s love. Through this principle we will see a generation shake off the chains of darkness and come running into marvelous light. Join the movement, lets see a generation awakened.
